The Haltcliffe herd of Pedigree Charolais consists of about twenty breeding females, breeding bulls with length cleaness and great shape with easy calving for the suckler calf producer. The Haltcliffe charolais herd was re-established in 2001 with the purchase of four heifers from Archie MaGregor's Allanfauld herd, a cow from Duncan Corrie herd, Three cow's from the Mowbraypark herd of Mike and Jean Atkinson from several cows and hiefers from the Clygen herd. A1 was used for two years with semen from some of the best bulls in the breed, Maerdy Naser Perth Champion when sold for 16,000 gns, Bleback Montgomery stock bull in the Bleback herd, Mortimers Roselier son of the Great cow Mowbraypark Gigi, Gretnahouse Noel who's prony have great shape and Simpson's Gregg Sire of many great cattle.

In February 2005 at the Perth sale Corrie Ultrasonic was purchased as the herd stock bull, he's a Gretnahouse Noel son out of Ragdale Drumme cow Allanfauld Gabbi and he was the Res intermediate champion, a great bull with great shape and very correct on his legs. At the same sale we had our top price so far with Haltcliffe Unison selling for 10,000 gns also son of Gretnahouse Noel.
